Some days ago, I had seen posts and read news about the Hajj and Umrah being banned temporarily by Saudi officials.Still, it didn’t sink in to me until one morning my husband told me that the coming days will be very strange, so he encouraged me to increase my Istighfar and make Tawbah. While sitting in the masjid trying to focus on the khutbah that day, I couldn’t help but ask myself one question.‘Is this Corona virus or any virus for that matter, stronger and greater than Allah, Al-Khaliq, Who Created the universe and all that’s in it?’ The answer is a loud and clear “No!” Nothing and no one is ever superior or greater than Allah in anything.SubhanAllah, this is the very structure and foundation of our religion and the teachings of our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and all prophets before him, may peace be upon them all. I haven’t been to Makkah for Umrah nor Hajj but I understand clearly how it means to not even have one believer making tawaf around the Kabah. IT’S A CRISIS! Sincere DuaIn these trying times, as a nation, as one ummah, more firmly we must hold onto the rope of Allah. We cannot be weakened by anything, not even a virus that’s killing thousands. Because no disease nor calamity befalls an individual and a nation, except only by Allah’s permission. And Only He, can remove and ease it for us. And Allah knows best. I urge you, my Muslim sisters and brothers all over the globe, wherever you are, for the sake of Allah alone, to make dua for all our sins to be forgiven, to ask Allah to protect us, save us and strengthen us as we battle through these trying times. Allah, there is no deity except Him.There is no might nor power except in Allah. From the millions of Muslim pilgrims all over the world who make tawaf around the Kabah on a daily basis and bringing the numbers down to none because of a virus scare is nothing but a test to our faith as individuals, as believers belonging to one ummah all in submission to Our Maker. Our enemy is not any virus. Let it not kill the very core of who we are as believers and most importantly, of Allah, The Creator of all that ever exist. I ask Allah to make us all steadfast in the religion.I ask Allah – The Creator of the Universe and all that is in existence with it, The Lord of Majesty and Generosity, The Owner of all Sovereignty, The Withholder, The Shielder, The Defender – to strengthen us and protect us from the evil around us and most especially within us. I ask to make us heedful of our actions towards ourselves, our Muslim sisters and brothers and the humanity at large. Ameen. Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity. It will have [the consequence of] what [good] it has gained, and it will bear [the consequence of] what [evil] it has earned.“Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred. Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people.” (Qur’an 2:286)

Sincere Dua
In these trying times, as a nation, as one ummah, more firmly we must hold onto the rope of Allah.
Allah, there is no deity except Him.
There is no might nor power except in Allah. From the millions of Muslim pilgrims all over the world who make tawaf around the Kabah on a daily basis and bringing the numbers down to none because of a virus scare is nothing but a test to our faith as individuals, as believers belonging to one ummah all in submission to Our Maker.
